The nonprofit organization is on the lookout for Arizona residents who aspire to be a healthcare provider, and who will be committed to serving in a health care center like Sun Life.

The main mission of the program is to support underserved communities and vulnerable populations, by providing health centers with motivated community-minded primary care providers who are as caring as they are qualified.

Besides training, other qualifications ATSU is looking for in its applicants include:

- Motivated, capable, and caring

- Involved with a health center

Residents of cities where a Sun Life office is located can also shadow a health provider for a day to learn more

about the healthcare field, and decide if a career in medicine is right for them. All ATSU Hometown Scholar program hopefuls that shadow a Sun Life provider is then eligible to request letter of recommendation.

“The mission of Sun Life Family Health Center is to deliver comprehensive, high quality services to all people in need of affordable, accessible, and culturally effective health care,” explained Sun Life CEO Travis Robinette. “Continuing and enhancing the hometown scholar program with A.T.
