Center for Children earns fourth Cloud Award

CASA GRANDE - Sun Life Center for Children's priority in children's preventative healthcare is being recognized this month as the Center's staff accepted their fourth Daniel T. Cloud Outstanding Practice award in four years.

The Dr. Daniel T. Cloud Award is a prestigious award, presented by the Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI), recognizing only those practices and clinics showing leadership and dedication in the field of immunizations for both toddlers and teens. The two award categories are given out to healthcare service providers who reach 90 percent immunization coverage levels of their 2-year-old patients for the toddler award, or for reaching 90 percent coverage levels for their 15-year-olds for the teen award.

In 2013, the Center accepted its first-time award for the toddler immunizations and its first-time win for the teen award in 2014.

It was the first Sun Life office to earn the Cloud Award for both the toddler and teen categories.

This year, the Center accepted its second award in the teen category.

"We are proud to have earned this prestigious award for four years in a row, and we will continue to provide this level of high-quality care in the years to come," said Travis J. Robinette, Sun Life's chief executive officer. "Whether you are a parent of a toddler or teenager, having your child immunized protects them against serious infectious diseases and their consequences. It also defends individuals, families, and communities from preventable outbreaks.

"At Sun Life Family Health Center, our family practice and pediatric teams have implemented and maintained an aggressive recall system to ensure our young patients are current with their immunizations, so that you can concentrate on other things in your daily lives."
