The connection to the community and Sun Life’s mission to serve them is how she always envisioned family care to be. As a Sun Life provider Ms.Carter feels that “The teamwork and care the staff has towards each other and the patients is phenomenal. They truly understand they are a part of the community and they are caring for the community that they live in.”

Born in Wisconsin, a true cheese-head at heart. Leah moved to Tucson in 1985. Through the years she moved around Arizona before landing back near the Catalina mountains, her favorite sunset view. In what spare time she has Leah enjoys leather-working, baking and raising her 2 children with her husband.

When asked about her care philosophy Leah shared that, “as a family Nurse Practitioner my goal is to listen to my patients. So many times a patient feels unheard or misunderstood. Patients should feel free to ask questions and engage in their care. Myself and our team of providers are rooting for their success in health and well-being. I want my patients to know that when they decide to take responsibility of their health, they are not alone.”
